My Personal Journey

My journey with gut health started before my entrepreneurial endeavors. As a mom of three, I juggled life, kids, and pets while occasionally being thrown unexpected curveballs. I was getting sick as often as my child in daycare during flu season. Just as I started to feel better, I started to get sick again. Plus, I was struggling with exhaustion. I assumed all of this was part of the Mom of 3 package deal, the unwelcome bonus.

But then, my body threw an unexpected curveball, and my digestive system started having daily tantrums—bloating, nausea, heartburn, and embarrassing burps, accompanied by anxiety attacks. I felt like a stranger within my own body. I love my family and my pets, but the one person I was neglecting to show love to was myself. I remember thinking, is this the experience of aging? If yes, this was a reality that I struggled to accept.

Before all of this, I was the type of person to run up a Scottish mountain for fun even if I ended up dead last and, at the same time, proudly held the title of the top-ranked Canadian, albeit the only one). But, with my gut issues, I felt as if I had lost my vitality.

The universe sent me a sign when I crossed paths with two dietitians who introduced me to the world of gut health. I decided to prioritize my gut, and it was a game-changer, reviving my well-being and reigniting my passion for life. Through this journey, I found a new passion that paved the way for a career shift.

Gradually, my digestive issues faded—nausea and bloating became distant memories, and embarrassing burps were a thing of the past. I started to feel like myself again, and I loved it!
